LOCAL INGREDIENTS- EDM Producers’ Forum!
Are you an EDM producer looking for a place to collaborate, share and learn? Look no further! Every 1st Sunday of the month starting at 8, Mosaic will now host an open forum on music production with the goal of creating new collaborations, relationships, and opportunities for Triangle EDM producers of all skill levels, professional experience, and backgrounds. Each month, we’re hoping to eventually feature a guest speaker from the group who will offer advice, tutorials, etc. We’ll reserve part of the upstairs sofa room so people can sit down, bring their laptops & hardware in, etc. After the event, Mosaic’s decks will be open to the attendees to showcase their creations (please contact Steven at 919-510-8630 to reserve your slot)!
Local (prolific) producer CONRAD GREGGOR will be heading up this 1st event, discussing production techniques! He has tracks out on beatport on a number of labels and will be touring internationally this summer. For those coming, there will be a chance to play after the meeting- please contact me to get on the roster (space limited)
We’ll be having a special bar menu, including make your own bloody mary’s, bellinis, fuzzy navels, and more!

http://www.facebook.com/synergy333?sk=info
http://333events.co/He has opened for funkjunkie, 40oz, riot, animal, porter robinson. A dancer’s DJ who still buys vinyl, who has not given in to the conformist attitudes of today’s music industry.
”I like to focus on creating a vibe, not just giving the crowd what they think they want, which is what everyone else is playing. I seek to take them on a journey and reaffirm the old-school position of the DJ; which is to expand minds by introducing the audience to new, varied, quality sounds.”
The status-quo is non-existant in a normal performance, nu-jazz, jam, modern-bluegrass, dub.reggae, progressive-house. Future funk with old-school soul. ”Good music is good music, making genres off-limits makes a very vanilla consumer.” Having rocked dancefloors for more than a decade, synergy brings new meaning to nightlife with every show.

http://soundcloud.com/SymbiotikMusic
http://www.mixcloud.com/AudioRushIn the beginning, there was nothing. AudioRush DJs Andrew ”HatTrick” Fessler and Joel ”The Swede” Stenkvist worked together to throw the first all-ages rave in the triangle — and possibly the entire state — since raves had been proclaimed ”dead”. With the first show titled Genesis, HatTrick had taken the lead on a journey that would throw him headfirst into a scene he’d never want to escape.
As time passed, HatTrick found himself close to an upcoming producer, Symbiotik, and the two bonded over nights of being snuck into clubs and jamming to the Raleigh underground scene. Soon enough, Symbiotik was teaching HatTrick music production as HatTrick taught him to DJ, gave him his first controller, and his first shows.
Now, the duo will play together in a show performance for the FIRST TIME. Each will be bringing forth the BEST of what they have to offer — hidden gems of each genre, and the new and exciting productions each has been working on.
THIS IS NOT A EXPERIENCE TO BE MISSED.

http://soundcloud.com/dropshockAs AudioRush was first crafting the Raleigh all-ages rave scene, there were a few who were more learned in modern EDM them then, and Phillip Kolev was one of them. A love of hardstyle mixed with an eagerness to perform, Generation Productions has decided to finally repay AudioRush’s debt and give Phillip the recognition he deserves!
He may be a first-timer, but you’re not going to be able to STOP jumping until Phillip hits his final beat.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~12:00-1:00: ShyGuy (NoisyDubs)
Drum n BassShyguy fell in love with jungle/dnb in late 1995 and the affair never stopped. Beginning around 1997 another love affair with mixing began. After paying dues from 1997-2000, he helped found Wilmington’s infamous Rinse & Repeat weekly, one of the first all-drum’n’bass events in NC. Over the next couple of years, they would bring the likes of John B, E-sassin, Marcus Intalex, DJ Lee, Total Science, Odi, Evol Intent, Mayhem, Orion and an array of local talent to the Port City. In 2001, in response to the passing of two great friends and crewmates (Lance Presson and Joe Sullivan), Rinse & Repeat hosted the first of what would be many NC Strength events – North Carolina’s annual drum’n’bass convention: a weekend of debauchery and beats in gorgeous Wilmington, NC. shyguy later became involved in NCDnB.com, co-running the site with Vicious T. (it’s back by the way, http://nc-dnb.com/!). Under the NCDnB.com moniker, shyguy went on to organize NC Strengths 3, 4, 5 and 7. Alongside promotion, he continued to play around NC heavily, also making stops in Buffalo and at Konkrete Jungle NYC. In addition, much internet radio was broadcast, on NCDnB Radio, Rewind Radio (Colorado) and Bassdrive. After a semi-retirement, shyguy moved to the Raleigh area in 2007 and quickly joined long time friend Phobia for his Rumble Sessions weekly (RIP). More recently, he has taken on roles as talent scout and resident DJ for NoisyDrums, the drum’n’bass-centric sister label to NoisyDubs. With 15 years of experience on the decks, you can expect an all-out dnb assault from jungle to liquid to neuro to drumstep and everything in between, from early classics on vinyl to the most recent choice cuts! All he wants to know is ”where my junglists at?”.
http://www.myspace.com/djiceyBorn and raised in Florida, DJ Icey has been mesmerized by electronic music ever since hearing the synthesizer breakdown on The Edgar Winter Group’s ”Frankenstein”. ”My mom had that album and I would play that middle part over and over wondering how they made that sound,” Icey recounts. “I was little and thought it was so cool”.
DJ Icey – Producer, Remixer, Label Owner and DJ with an obsessive love of Breakbeats and Bass, he is a true Merchant of Boom.Icey runs his Indie label, Zone Records, which is dedicated to the music he loves. When vinyl ruled the DJ’ing landscape, Zone sold over a quarter of a million pieces of wax up until the label went all digital in 2008. Zone Records release schedule is relentless and consistently garners Top 10 Beatport sales in Breaks and has expanded to include multiple musical genres in remix and original form.
Playing 100+ gigs per year, Icey is a touring maniac. But that doesn’t keep him out of the studio during the week working on new tracks for his indie imprint, constantly trying to push the envelope to make his fans sweat on the dance floor. Icey’s live DJ shows are legendary and always include massive amounts of originals, remixes and re-rubs exclusive to his sets, the output of his addiction to the recording studio.
Icey’s remixes have garnered Top 5 placings on Hype Machine’s Twitter Top 100 chart multiple times, most recently with his bass fueled re-working of Yeah Yeah Yeahs ”Heads Will Roll” and Tyga’s ”Rack City”.
DJ icey has done a weekly satellite radio show in North America since 2006, first on Sirius’s Boombox channel and currently on Sirius XM’s Electric Area channel, entitled ”Automatic Static” it is one of the most popular dance mix shows on satellite radio. His many legions of fans love his Soundcloud page, where Icey gives away full length mixes, remixes and original tracks often.DJ Icey’s current full length album is ”Flash the Message”, 17 tracks that includes 12 originals long side a handful of remix and re-rub action. Combining the sounds and vibes of multi-genres, vocals and instrumentals, all expertly tied together with his broken beat, bass heavy sound that he is renowned for.
