After interviewing numerous talented eco-conscious designers for inclusion in Redress Raleigh’s 2012 eco-fashion show, there is no question that Raleigh is cultivating a community of creative individuals. These designers are ready to revolutionize the fashion industry with their innovative, accessible, and earth-friendly designs. The variety of ideas the designers expressed showcases how many different directions the future of sustainable fashion is moving into – from a surrealist-painting-inspired line of organic wool and cotton jackets and skirts to an accessory line featuring natural objects such as driftwood and shells with mixed metals to hand-stamped feminine frocks re-imagined from men’s dress shirts.

Redress Raleigh is proud to announce the following designers have been accepted into the April 20, 2012 Friday night 8pm show at the Contemporary Art Museum CAM Raleigh:

There will also be a local fashion showcase as part of downtown Raleigh’s Planet Earth Celebration on Saturday, April 21st featuring Redress Raleigh along with other area fashion organizations.

Redress Raleigh is the area’s largest showcase of environmentally conscious fashion design. The show encourages designers to incorporate ”green” practices into their work, while showing a wide audience how easy it is to find eco-friendly clothing that is fashion forward.
